C1 Staffing is hiring a Cashier for shift-based work at Slammers Stadium in Joliet, IL, supporting the kitchen with dish and equipment cleaning during game day and event service. This is gig work that may continue on an ongoing basis, and C1 pays weekly.
This role keeps the kitchen moving. You will be the person cooks and servers depend on for clean dishes, clean kitchenware, and clean equipment, all while keeping your work area safe and organized during busy service periods.
What you will do:- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and serving ware throughout the shift- Clean and sanitize kitchenware and kitchen equipment according to food safety standards- Keep a steady supply of clean dishes and smallwares stocked and available for cooks and servers so service never slows down- Operate and maintain the dish machine and dish station, including scraping, pre-rinsing, loading, unloading, and changing water as needed- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, including wiping down surfaces and keeping walkways and work areas clear- Sort and put away clean items in their proper storage locations so staff can find what they need quickly- Remove trash, break down boxes, and handle waste and recycling from the kitchen and dish area- Communicate with kitchen leadership when supplies run low or equipment is not working properly
Schedule and pay:- Gig and shift-based work in Joliet, IL, with the possibility of ongoing assignments- Shifts follow the stadium event and service schedule- Paid weekly by C1 Staffing
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for the length of the shift- Comfort working around hot water, steam, cleaning chemicals, and wet floors- Ability to lift and carry dish racks, pots, and pans and to push loaded carts- Willingness to work at a fast pace during peak service and to stay focused when volume is high- Attention to cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation practices- Ability to follow directions from kitchen leadership and work as part of a team- Dependability and on-time arrival for scheduled shifts
