C1 Staffing is hiring Food Service Workers in Kansas City, MO (64112) to help set up and serve meals and keep kitchen areas clean and sanitized. This is a full-time position starting September 3, 2026, paying $16.57 per hour with overtime paid at $23.20 per hour.
What you will do:- Work anywhere on the property where food is prepared, as assigned by the kitchen lead- Assist with the setup of counters and steamtables before each meal period- Serve food to guests from counters and steamtables at a steady, friendly pace- Restock and maintain serving lines so items stay available throughout service- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, serving areas, and work stations- Break down and reset work stations at the end of the meal period- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards throughout your shift- Support the team during peak meal service wherever extra hands are needed
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $16.57 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime is paid at $23.20 per hour- Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm- 40 hours per week- Assignment begins September 3, 2026- This is a contract assignment with the potential to move into an ongoing or contract-to-hire opportunity for the right people
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Comfort standing, walking, lifting, and moving throughout an eight-hour shift- Reliable attendance and on-time arrival for an early morning start- A team-first attitude and the ability to work at a steady pace during peak meal service- Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation procedures at every station- Prior food service, cafeteria, or kitchen experience is helpful but not required- Must be able to complete E-Verify employment eligibility verification
