C1 Staffing is hiring a Dishroom Lead for a short-term assignment in New York, NY 10019. Pay is $20.76 per hour, paid weekly, for a single-day shift running 8am to 4pm.
This role keeps the heart of a busy kitchen moving. As the lead in the dishroom, you set the pace, keep the wash line flowing, and make sure the kitchen team always has clean, sanitized tableware and cookware ready to go.
What you will do:- Keep the kitchen area clean, safe, and ready for staff throughout the shift- Wash and sanitize tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment- Operate and maintain dish machines and related wash equipment- Keep the dishroom clean, stocked, and well organized from start to end of shift- Set the pace for the dishroom and support other team members as the lead- Hold the area to strict cleanliness and sanitation standards during service- Move quickly and safely between the wash line, storage areas, and the kitchen floor
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $20.76 per hour- Overtime is paid at $29.06 per hour- Shift runs 8am to 4pm- Based on a 40-hour full-time week- Short-term, one-day contract assignment- Shift-based work that may lead to additional assignments- Paid weekly
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior dishroom, kitchen, or food service experience, ideally in a lead or senior role- Comfort standing for the full shift- Ability to handle repeated lifting, bending, and reaching- Ability to work quickly and safely in a hot, wet, fast-paced kitchen environment- Reliable attendance- Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards- Willingness to direct and support other dishroom team members
