C1 is hiring Cook I professionals for one of our clients in San Jose, CA. This is a contract assignment running from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026, with the potential to move into a contract-to-hire opportunity. We have multiple openings — 99 in total — so this is a great time to get in.
Pay is $25.00 per hour, with overtime paid at $35.00 per hour. Expect a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week; specific shift details will be confirmed during the hiring process.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items with accuracy and efficiency- Support multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner- Contribute to special functions and catered events- Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines consistently- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station
What we are looking for:- Hands-on cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen- Ability to work efficiently and keep pace during busy meal service- Comfort standing for extended periods and handling standard kitchen tasks- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork
