Environmental Service Attendant - Chapel Hill, NC
C1 Staffing is hiring Environmental Service Attendants in Chapel Hill, NC for one of our clients, with pay at $19.24 per hour and overtime at $26.94 per hour. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity on a steady daytime schedule, with the potential to convert to a permanent role.
What you will do:- Clean and maintain assigned areas so they stay orderly and presentable throughout the shift- Perform basic floor care duties, including routine maintenance of hard surfaces such as tile and resilient flooring- Care for soft surfaces, including routine carpet maintenance in assigned areas- Work across a variety of settings on site, which may include commercial, healthcare, school or university environments- Follow established cleaning procedures and use the correct products and equipment for each surface type- Support the team wherever coverage is needed across the property, adjusting to the areas assigned that day- Keep supplies, carts and equipment organized and ready for the next shift- Report maintenance concerns or safety issues in your assigned areas
Schedule and pay:- $19.24 per hour, with overtime paid at $26.94 per hour- 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM- 40 hours per week- Paid weekly- Contract-to-hire, with the potential to convert to a permanent position
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Basic floor care knowledge is required for this position, including familiarity with routine care of hard and soft surfaces- Comfort with the physical demands of cleaning work, including standing and walking for the length of the shift, bending and lifting- Reliable attendance and the ability to work the full daytime shift each scheduled day- Willingness to move between assigned areas and settings as coverage needs change- Uniform required from day one: white top and black pants- A team-oriented attitude and attention to detail in finished work
