C1 Staffing is hiring experienced Senior Cooks for a client kitchen in Kansas City, MO, preparing hot and cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events. Pay is $18.24 per hour on a steady Monday through Friday day shift, with overtime hours paid at $25.54 per hour.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for multiple meal periods- Support breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, adjusting production to the needs of each meal period- Cook and plate items for special and catered events- Work accurately and efficiently so that food is ready on time for every scheduled meal service- Maintain food quality and consistent presentation on every plate and serving pan- Follow safe food handling standards throughout the shift, including proper temperatures, storage, and cross-contamination controls- Keep portioning consistent and accurate to meet recipe and service specifications- Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked during and after service
Schedule and pay:- $18.24 per hour, with overtime paid at $25.54 per hour- Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm- Full 40 hours per week- Paid weekly
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior professional cooking experience covering multiple meal periods, such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen where timing matters- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment- Strong attention to detail in portioning, plating, and presentation- Dependable attendance and punctuality, since the kitchen runs on a fixed meal service schedule- Willingness to move between stations and support catered or special event production as needed
