C1 is hiring an experienced Cook for a senior dining operation in New York, NY. This is a contract assignment running October 5 through October 16, 2026, with the potential to move toward ongoing or contract-to-hire work for the right candidate.
Pay is $23.07 per hour, with overtime paid at $32.30 per hour. The schedule is 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, approximately 40 hours per week.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal periods- Cook for special events and catered functions- Plate and present food accurately and consistently- Work efficiently to meet meal service timelines
What we are looking for:- Prior cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen, healthcare, or senior dining setting- Comfort working across multiple meal periods and menu types- Attention to portion control, food quality, and presentation- Reliability and strong communication with kitchen team members- Ability to stand, lift, and move throughout a full shift
