C1 Staffing is hiring a Cook II in Downingtown, PA to prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold food items across multiple meal periods. The role pays $21.63 per hour with overtime at $30.28 per hour, on a steady daytime schedule averaging 40 hours per week.
This is a contract assignment with the potential to become ongoing or contract-to-hire for the right candidate. You will be part of a kitchen team serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events, so consistency and pace matter every shift.
What you will do:- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support breakfast, lunch, and dinner service throughout the day- Cook and plate food for special events and catered functions- Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines consistently so every plate looks and tastes the same- Work at a steady pace across multiple meal periods, adjusting as service volume changes- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work station for the duration of your shift- Handle standard kitchen equipment and station duties as assigned by kitchen leadership
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $21.63 per hour- Overtime is paid at $30.28 per hour- Shift is 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM- Averaging 40 hours per week- Paid weekly
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior experience cooking in a high-volume kitchen setting- Comfort working at a steady pace across several meal periods in the same shift- Ability to stand for extended shifts and handle typical kitchen physical demands, including moving between stations and working around heat- Working knowledge of recipes, portion control, and plate presentation- Attention to food safety and sanitation standards at your station- Chef uniform is required and must be worn for every shift- Must be able to complete E-Verify employment eligibility verification
